Hennock is a village and civil parish in Teignbridge, Devon, about 3 miles west-north-west of Chudleigh and overlooking the Teign valley on the eastern side of Dartmoor. The parish includes Chudleigh Knighton and Teign Village. It borders Bovey Tracey, Kingsteignton, Christow, Chudleigh and Trusham, and had 1,747 residents at the 2011 census. It has 47 listed buildings.

Domesday Book (1086) lists it as Hanoch, with a Saxon thane called Alnoth holding 20 households. Around 1207 the church was given to Torre Abbey, and the abbey acquired five large farms in the parish in the 13th century. By 1850 the parish had 828 people and was working tin, iron, lead and copper. The first reservoir, Tottiford, was built in 1861, and Teign Village was built in 1911 for quarry workers. The parish lost 40 people in the First World War and 7 in the Second.

St Mary's church has a tower of about 1250 and the rest was rebuilt about 1450, though the village's own history page dates the tower to the mid 12th century, so the dating is not settled. The font is about 1170, the rood screen and its ceilure were restored in 1956 and 1975, and four bells hang in the tower, two of them medieval. Volunteers rebuilt the bell frame in 2011 so ringing could resume after more than twenty years.
