Vixen Tor is a granite tor on private land between Tavistock and Princetown. It rises 37 metres above the moor and is known for its unusual shape, which some say looks like the Sphinx. Access has been closed since 2003, though it remains a popular subject of interest and controversy among walkers and climbers.
