Two hut circles NW of Bush Down

These two hut circles represent the remains of Bronze Age dwellings, likely dating to the later prehistoric period when Dartmoor's higher ground supported scattered pastoral communities. The circular stone foundations would once have supported roundhouses, their positions chosen for access to water and grazing on the open moor.
