The Avon Inn

The Avon Inn sits beside the River Avon in the South Hams village of Avonwick — a village whose name literally means "settlement by the river." This welcoming community pub serves traditional home-cooked food including fish and chips, pie of the day, steaks and burgers, alongside Sunday roasts, cream teas and a weekly quiz and curry night every Monday. Inside there is a cosy wood fire and a well-stocked bar; outside, a generous beer garden extends to the river bank. The pub opens all day from 12pm with food served until 9pm.
