Sittaford Tor sits on the eastern side of Dartmoor near Fernworthy Forest. It has a fairly flat summit with limited exposed granite, but the views from the top are extensive, especially northwards and along the valley to Postbridge. The Grey Wethers stone circles lie just to the east of the summit. A straightforward path leads up from Postbridge, over Hartland Tor, making it a good route to reach this place.
