Sarah Hewett

Sarah Hewett wrote two books on Devon speech and folk-lore: The Peasant Speech of Devon (London: E. Stock, 1892) and Nummits and Crummits: Devonshire Customs, Characteristics, and Folk-lore (London: T. Burleigh, 1900).

A search-result excerpt of the 1900 preface gives a Tiverton address and a July 1899 date; this was not confirmed on a fetched page. No biography with birth or death details was found.
