Sampford Tor sits just below Pew Tor, often overlooked but with a distinctive ruined outcrop and evidence of past quarrying. The hillside shows feather and tare marks from granite extraction, and a small quarry on the west side is covered in rhododendron. Views from here reach Plymouth Sound and Bodmin Moor, offering a peaceful moorland scene with a poignant history.
