Round cairn near East Okement Farm

This round cairn sits on open moorland northwest of East Okement Farm, a surviving burial monument from the Bronze Age. Like many cairns scattered across Dartmoor, it was constructed as a place to inter the dead and likely served as a focal point for the communities who lived on and used the moor in prehistory. The monument stands as physical evidence of human occupation and ritual practice in this upland landscape.

Today the cairn remains as a low stone mound visible among the heather and grass.
