Lynch Tor sits above the Lych Way and Baggator Brook on the western escarpment of Dartmoor. It is a welcome sight when approached from the Upper Walkham Valley or White Barrow, offering shelter and a prominent position. The tor features a Bronze Age cairn known as Limsboro' Cairn, and its central outcrop has a distinctive saddle-shaped rock formation with a small rock basin. The area is surrounded by the Merrivale firing ranges, so walkers should be mindful of warnings.
