Lower Leather Tor consists of three closely grouped and broken granite outcrops on the southern slopes of Leather Tor, looking out over Burrator Reservoir. It sits on the edge of a vast rock field with views mainly to the south and west, where Burrator Lake is clearly visible. The area is strewn with boulders, making for a challenging climb, and much of the granite has been worked and plundered over the years, especially near the road.
