King Tor sits on the eastern side of Dartmoor, just below the prominent King’s Barrow. It’s a modest tor with scattered granite outcrops and a shallow rock basin on its highest point. The views from here stretch northward across the rolling hills to the Mid Devon countryside. It’s often approached from the south, passing King’s Barrow, and is best appreciated when you round the granite boulders to see the full scene.
