Hunter’s Tor stands high on a hilltop overlooking Lustleigh Cleave. The tor is notable for the remains of an Iron Age hillfort to the east, which once had a triple ramparted enclosure. Much of the fort’s original structure has been lost to time, with stone robbed for field walls and ploughing. The surviving entrance offers a glimpse into its past, and local legend suggests a battle may have taken place here.
