Holwell Tor is a substantial granite tor with a flattish summit that offers wonderful views. It is cut by a footpath from the Haytor Granite Tramway heading towards Becka Brook. The tor has been quarried in the north, and its higher parts drop dramatically to the valley floor. Despite its size, it is poorly represented on maps, which is a notable oversight.
