Hedge Down Tor is located on the northern extremity of Hedge Down, where the land is open to the public. Much of the area is enclosed by fences, but the tor itself can be reached via two ladder stiles from the west. It is a granite outcrop situated on a down, offering a glimpse into the rugged landscape of Dartmoor.
