Furze Tor is a modest, somewhat ragged tor located below Boulters Tor, beside the bridleway leading to Smeardon Down. It is marked on old Ordnance Survey maps and named for the furze bush that sits atop its summit rocks. The tor is a lesser-known feature, omitted from some guides, but clearly visible and worth noting for those exploring the area.
