Enclosure near Shillapark Farm

This scheduled monument consists of the earthwork remains of a prehistoric enclosure and an associated stone hut circle, situated on open moorland north of Shillapark Farm. The site dates to the Bronze Age, when such settlements were common across Dartmoor, representing domestic occupation and pastoral use of the high ground.

Visitors will find low stone walls and grassy earthworks marking the enclosure boundary and the circular foundation of the hut. The site lies in typical moorland terrain and forms part of the wider pattern of Bronze Age activity visible across this part of Dartmoor. Access is on foot across open country.
