Enclosed settlement near Raddick Hill

This scheduled monument is the remains of an enclosed settlement, likely dating to the Bronze Age, when scattered communities farmed and herded across Dartmoor's high ground. The site consists of a cluster of stone-built structures set within an enclosing boundary, typical of the defended homesteads that characterised the period. Over millennia, settlement patterns shifted and were eventually abandoned, leaving these earthworks and wall fragments as evidence of ancient occupation.

Today the site sits among rough moorland southwest of Raddick Hill, accessible to walkers exploring this part of Dartmoor.
