Everything is made and packaged by hand, even the still was designed and built by the family. This is probably one of the most lovingly crafted and special gins you will ever have the pleasure in tasting. Our Black Dog Gin was the winner of the 2017/2018 Food and Drink Devon Gold Award.

Dartmoor Distillery is the collaboration of a widely experienced team. A Dartmoor farmer, two Devon pub owners and a South Devon based master brewer.  John Lawton has over thirty years experience in the Drinks industry and started Teignworthy Brewery in Newton Abbot with his wife Rachel back in 1994. Having made a success of the brewery, John decided to pursue his other passion and spent a lot of his time learning the distilling trade up in the Western Isles of Scotland.
