Cuckoo Rock is a prominent granite boulder on the northern side of the Deancombe valley, just a short walk from Combshead Tor. The name may come from the local farmers who often hear the first cuckoo of spring here. It's a popular spot for letterboxing and bouldering, with good views back along the valley towards Leather Tor. The rock is part of a ruined tor, with scattered granite across the slope.
