Corndon Tor

Grid ref: SX 6859 7418

Corndon Tor may seem unassuming at first, but its slopes hide remarkable granite formations. The eastern outcrop offers fine views of the Hameldown Ridge, while a Bronze Age cairn and the Cave Penney Memorial Cross lie nearby. The southernmost outcrop is locally known as 'Belstone's Chair', though its origins are unclear. A short walk from the car park makes it accessible, with intriguing rock features to explore.
