Patrick Augustine Sheehan
Patrick Augustine Sheehan was born on 17 March 1852 at Mallow, County Cork, and died on 5 October 1913 at Doneraile. He was ordained in Cork in 1875 and served first in Exeter (Plymouth diocese), where he acted as supply chaplain for Dartmoor Prison, then in Mallow, Cobh and Doneraile.
He was made a canon of Cloyne in 1904. His novels include My New Curate (1900) and Luke Delmege (1901). His account of a Sunday at Princetown appeared in The Irish Monthly in February 1894.
