Cairnfield near Moorgate Farm

This cairnfield sits on open moorland south of Moorgate Farm and represents a complex of Bronze Age monuments. The site includes a ring cairn, three round cairns, and an irregular aggregate field system, all arranged across the landscape as a working record of prehistoric settlement and land use.

Visitors will find the cairns as low stone mounds scattered across the moor, the field system visible as boundaries and cleared areas in the turf and heather. The site is a Scheduled Monument, protected for its archaeological importance.
