Boulters Tor sits on the eastern edge of Smeardon Down, marked by a roughly fashioned wall running across its summit. It is accessible via a bridleway to the south, near Furze Tor, and offers wide views across the moor, including Cox Tor, Great Links Tor and Brent Tor. The tor is part of a metamorphic landscape, rising from an island of dolerite formed millions of years ago.
